Restaurants

Photovoltaic system on the roof

Pizza Riva

The Pizza Riva restaurants quickly make us forget that we are actually in Vienna and not in Italy. We think the Neapolitan pizzas there are simply brilliant.

e.g. Favoritenstraße 4/6, 1040 Vienna

Advent market, Karlskirche

Augenweide

If we can’t agree within the team, we go to Augenweide. There’s something for every taste from steak to pasta to sushi, in a very stylish ambience.

Obere Donaustraße 97-99, 1020 Vienna

Advent market, Karlskirche

Spelunke

A place where everyone can be who they are. In a casual atmosphere with dishes for meat lovers and vegans.

Taborstraße 1-3, 1020 Vienna

Free bicycles

IKI Restaurant

Japanese specialties that make our contemporary heart beat faster: from sushi to beef tataki and ramen, the decision is hard for us every time.

Am Belvedere 1, 1100 Vienna

Zeitgeist Pergola Restaurant Hauptbahnhof

Restaurant-Café-Bar Pergola

From classic Viennese cuisine to cool vegan specialties, our own restaurant scores with a zeitgeisty atmosphere and a relaxing guest garden.

Sonnwendgasse 15, 1100 Vienna

TIAN Restaurant/Bistro

The gourmet restaurant TIAN offers the vegetarian and vegan alternative, organic at that. In our opinion, this is food for the soul, good conscience included.

Restaurant: Himmelpfortgasse 23, 1010 Vienna
Bistro: Schrankgasse 4, 1070 Vienna

Advent market, Karlskirche

Door No.8

Not only indoors but also outdoors really cozy, Door No. 8. Absolutely recommended: the cozy guest garden and the delicious steaks.

Neubaugasse 8, 1070 Vienna

Advent market, Karlskirche

Beef & Glory

According to N.Y.. Strip Mediahouse on place 20 of the 101 best steak restaurants worldwide – and thus the best steakhouse in Austria! Steakhouse culture at the highest level. Here even the beef halves hang in refrigerators directly in the restaurant. For the meat lovers among us!

Florianigasse 35, 1080 Vienna

Bars

The Chapel Bar

Through a secret door and an original confessional you enter the Chapel Bar in the 15th district. The ‘faith community’ is surprised with really cool cocktails in a special ambience.

Haidmannsgasse 8, 1150 Vienna

Bar Hannelore in 1010 Vienna, Bardh Sokoli

Bar Hannelore

A giant tree under a large glass roof exudes winter garden flair combined with living room chic. We are thrilled by the ambience and the great selection of cocktails and long drinks.

Dorotheergasse 6-8, 1010 Vienna

Krypt Bar

Impressive and incredibly stylish, if you can find them. No signs, no directional signs and yet there it is, the Krypt Bar. For us: an absolute insider tip!

Berggasse/Wasagasse, 1090 Vienna

Weinorgel

A little nightcap in a relaxed atmosphere? The Weinorgel in the 1st district is ideally suited for this. Also just casual that you get to throw the nutshells right on the floor.

Bäckerstraße 2, 1010 Vienna

Rondell Café at Cobenzl

New life has been breathed into an old excursion destination here. And that with a special far-reaching view over the city. Takes our breath away again and again.

Am Cobenzl 94, 1190 Vienna

Planter's Club Bar

The American Cocktails like to lure us to the Planter’s Club. We also love the rustic ambience there: rum bottles as far as the eye can see. Cheers!

Zelinkagasse 4, 1010 Vienna

Fun & Excitement

Advent market, Karlskirche

Lainzer Tiergarten

In the eastern part of the Vienna Woods lies the Lainzer Tiergarten. From our point of view, this is special because you are right in the middle of the action in both the plant and wildlife world. Beware of the wild boars running free!

Hermesstraße 78, 1130 Vienna

Advent market, Karlskirche

Böhmischer Prater

For a trip with children we recommend the Bohemian Prater. Unlike the Vienna Prater, it’s all about the little ones here. The kids will definitely love it there.

Laaer Wald 216, 1100 Vienna (park Löwygrube)

Botanical garden

From native flora to exotics like the Titan Root, the Botanical Garden serves as a wildlife habitat, a research site and a place of wonder.

Rennweg 14, 1030 Vienna

Advent market, Karlskirche

Museum of illusions

Straight, crooked & upside down: it can all happen at the Museum of Illusions, apparently. In our opinion, a really fun experience for in between.

Wallnerstraße 4, 1010 Vienna

Advent market, Karlskirche

Climbing the Flak Tower

In any case, this is only something for the brave among us: climbing the flak tower directly on the facade of the House of the Sea. If that’s too high for you, you’d better go look at marine animals. Take note of opening hours!

Fritz-Grünbaum-Platz 1, 1060 Vienna

MQ Mini Golf Sculpture Park

At the beginning of Mariahilfer Strasse shopping street, a special miniature golf course awaits in the heart of the city: contemporary culture can be actively experienced here.

Mariahilfer Straße 1, 1070 Vienna

Advent market, Karlskirche

3rd man tour

You don’t see that every day: Vienna from the bottom. The 3rd Man Tour takes you to the original filming location of the movie of the same name in the Vienna sewers. Really cool! Attention: tours do not take place in winter.

Karlsplatz-Girardipark, 1010 Vienna

Advent market, Karlskirche

Shades Tours

Off the beaten tourist track, the Shades Tours lead through the city on topics of poverty, homelessness, flight & integration. And the authentic thing about it is: the guides are affected themselves. Absolute recommendation!

Advent market, Karlskirche

Boulder bar

Bouldering (climbing) combined with a cool bar ambience: there is guaranteed to be something for both the active and the chillers among us.

Maria-Lassnig-Straße 18, 1100 Vienna

Advent market, Karlskirche

Mystery Hunt

We have rarely solved puzzles in such a stylish ambience. We loved going to the Kunsthistorisches Museum as a team to follow in the footsteps of the Sphinx. Reservation required in advance.

Maria-Theresien-Platz, 1010 Vienna

City walking trail no. 1

There are 12 Vienna city walking trails, but the 1st one is the most beautiful in our opinion. With a magnificent view over Vienna, it goes for 11 km through vineyards and wooded heights. Really impressive!

End of tram line D Beethovengang

Advent market, Karlskirche

OstLicht Gallery

Exciting photo exhibitions in the former Anker bread factory. From David LaChapelle to Bryan Adams, a number of artists have exhibited their work here.

Absberggasse 27/3, 1100 Vienna

Here comes Marlene

Here comes Marlene

Marlene is rarely able to indulge her fondness for penguins while working at the reception desk. However, her warm nature often serves as an "icebreaker".
